MKI operates from the premise that we can maximise our impact by equipping ministers to be more effective. Because ministers act through their staff, it makes sense to offer programs to enhance their staff's effectiveness too.

Chiefs of Staff have evolved to become critically influential actors within the political system. They are key conduits and coordinators, who are also responsible for leading and running ministerial offices. 

Although unelected, they exercise significant delegated authority on behalf of their ministers. This demands a unique combination of political, policy, administrative and relationship management skills.

Our Chiefs of Staff programs are designed to provide practical tools, frameworks and helpful tips that are directly applicable to the challenges Ministerial offices face on a daily basis.

Currently these are delivered on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis on request.
